Library of Comedy
For the first show at Urban Vegan Roots in Astoria, I bought books to give to the audience. A book to keep, a book to swap, and a night of comedy.

Library of ComedyComedian, creator, producer, director and photographer. Library of Comedy brings the work together.

I perform standup in New York, make live shows, direct recordings and photograph other people’s shows. This library grows out of those years of work.
I started Library of Comedy to collect the performances, books and people that make up this world. The ambition is a Library of Congress for comedy, built from the work I make, the shows I document and the things I keep coming back to.
There is a live show, too. For the first one, I bought books and gave them to the audience. That night in Astoria belongs here alongside the specials and reading notes.
Say Cheese is a series I performed in and photographed. At Comedy Town, Rent Controlled, The Hot Seat and Sam and Ryan’s shows, I was there with my camera. These are some of those rooms.

Library of Comedy and Baklava Comedy are my own live projects. Each has something to share with the audience alongside the stand-up.

Locally sourced baklava and locally sourced comedians. A separate show I created and produce in New York.
The show record →Lance Richardson
I directed and produced Lance’s storytelling special, from the room and audio/video recording through editing and finishing.

Each record keeps its original sources and individual credits. The first Library show photographs are by Hakim Dhouib; Baklava’s September 17, 2026 photographs are by Jon Asher. The photographs in the six-frame selection above are my own.
